What we've done
We've designed this website with the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) in mind:
- Text is set in clear, readable fonts with good contrast, and you can zoom in without losing content.
- The site is built to work on phones, tablets and computers, and to be navigated with a keyboard — a “Skip to content” link appears at the top.
- Photos have text descriptions for screen readers, and decorative graphics are hidden from them.
- Moving elements such as drifting clouds and scrolling banners switch off if your device is set to reduce motion.
- Our menus are real text on the page — not images — so they can be read aloud, enlarged or translated, and are also available as downloadable PDFs.
Known limitations
- The downloadable PDF menus may not be fully accessible to every screen reader — the same menus are available as text on our café page.
- The illustrated walk map is a picture; the same route is described step by step in text beside it.
Need something in a different format?
If anything on this website is hard to use, or you'd like our menus read out or sent in another format, we're happy to help. Call 01298 84496 or email hartingtonfarmshop@gmail.com.
Visiting in person
If you have questions about access to the shop or café before you visit — for example step-free access, seating or where to park — please give us a call and we'll talk you through it.
